What is RIG?

RIG Asia is part of the international RIG Nation network, which was founded in 2007 by Tomi Arayomi. The vision is to restore the apostolic and prophetic ministry back into the Body of Christ and to equip this generation to be in a position and condition for use by God. RIG Nation was originally headquartered in London, United Kingdom and quickly gained an international following. RIG is now the name used to describe the movement comprising an increasing number of groups around the world that each share the vision to raise up and restore the apostolic and prophetic in their city, nation and continent.
Tomi Arayomi
RIG Nation's Founder and Apostolic Leader
Tomi Arayomi is an internationally recognised prophet with more than 20 years experience in prophetic ministry. His desire is to bring forth the authenticity and integrity of the prophetic and its power to change lives all over the world.
Tomi received the Lord Jesus at the age of 15 and began ministry at 16 years old serving as a pastor under Foundation Faith Church. He served there and planted over 10 churches on university campuses UK wide whilst studying law at the University of Hertfordshire. He was later recognised for his apostolic and prophetic anointing and was commissioned under Christian International by Dr Bill Hamon and Dr Sharon Stone in November 2010.
Tomi has since been featured on mainstream media including BBC, Revelation TV, the Times Malawi, TBN, Channels TV where he has been recognized for his national and personal prophetic accuracy. Tomi is a governmental prophet and has had the privilege of consulting prophetically with leaders of nations in their homes at the United Nations and in Parliament.
In 2019, a few months before the UK went into lockdown, Tomi was led by the Lord to relaunch RIG Nation which he had originally founded in 2007. RIG stands for Restoring Issachar’s Generation, a mission based on 1 Chronicles 12:32: “The sons of Issachar who had an understanding of the times to know what Israel ought to do.” The ministry’s vision is to restore the apostolic and prophetic ministry back into the Body of Christ and to equip this generation to be in a position and condition for use by God.
In April 2020, Tomi launched Pioneers Church as an online church which together with other training and social commentary programmes, has attracted an international audience of over 100,000 subscribers on RIG Nation’s YouTube channel. During the lockdown, Tomi filmed over 100 training videos which now form the basis of the RIG Nation’s School of Apostles and Prophets and in June 2021, launched apostolic centres in London, United Kingdom and Lagos, Nigeria.
At the start of 2022, Tomi heard the Lord calling for crusades to be held across Africa and in other continents also. Recognising a deep sense of urgency the Lord had placed within his spirit, Tomi launched the first crusade in Warri Kingdom, Delta State, Nigeria, in February 2022, followed quickly by a crusade in Benin City and with a schedule each month in other nations and continents.
Tomi is the author of nine books, the most recent being “Eat, Sleep, Prophesy, Repeat” and “The Cosmopolitan Christian”.
Tomi and his wife Tahmar and their three sons recently relocated from Nigeria to the RIG Nation HQ in Houston, Texas, USA.
How RIG Asia began
RIG Asia began in 2021 after Leo Ajero, from the RIG Nation team based in Manila, heard from Lord about revival coming to the Philippines and spreading through Asia. This word reminded him of the Word that Apostle Tomi Arayomi had given soon after visiting the Philippines in 2019.
“Can a nation be born in a day? Yet I will make Philippines the trading envy of Asia again and will rebuild her walls so that systemic poverty need no longer be an issue. The Spirit of God says, “I will make the Philippines a gathering hub for Asia revival. Even of the persecuted Chinese church. Philippines shall be a gathering hub and God will use her stadiums again for national and Asia-Pacific revival and will set His throne in her midst.”
Leo, together with his wife Michelle, launched RIG Asia in 2021 and, as the inaugural leaders of RIG Asia, laid essential foundations for the ministry through training and workshops, worship encounter events and prophetic gatherings. In 2023, Leo and Michelle responded to the call of the Lord to step down from leading RIG Asia and to serve in Tomi Arayomi Ministries.
Alex and Carol Shore-Nye
RIG Asia Directors
Alex and Carol Shore-Nye became the leaders of RIG Asia after answering the call to Asia in December 2023. Alex and Carol originally joined Apostle Tomi Arayomi in RIG Nation in 2020. They are graduates of RIG School and were commissioned by Apostle Tomi on 26 September 2021 as Prophetic Evangelist and Apostle, respectively.
Alex has a gifting in leading others to Christ through tangible prophecy and healing by the power of the Holy Spirit. Alex has a commercial background in marketplace ministry and retail sales, previously owning an extreme sports business that impacted the local youth and street culture for Christ. He also collects historical Christian literature!
Carol has previously served in RIG Nation as its COO and Prayer Director. She accepted Christ after hearing the voice of God at 15 years old. Carol has both a corporate and ministry background and has experienced crusade revivals in Nigeria and months of Holy Spirit outpourings in the United Kingdom.
Together they minister with sensitivity to the Holy Spirit and with a heart for the nations. They are presently based in London before going to the Philippines.
